About

Homeowners around Oakland call on Alcatraz Shade Shop for window treatments work. They handle bay, bow, and specialty shapes and motorized and smart shades with materials suited to Oakland's climate and housing stock. Being based in Oakland means quotes and timelines suited to the area rather than a national average. Homeowners usually reach out when they notice too much glare or heat and faded, broken, or dated coverings. Serving Oakland and nearby communities, the team can get to the property, assess the work, and price it properly. Alcatraz Shade Shop takes on work such as patio door and vertical solutions, bay, bow, and specialty shapes and plantation shutters. On a normal project the crew handles in-home consultation and selection and ordering. What a job costs depends on things like window size and shape and fabric, lining, and features, which is why an on-site quote beats a phone estimate. A clear written estimate is the mark of an organized contractor and makes offers easy to compare.
