We have redesigned the homeowner dashboard to make comparing contractor quotes faster, clearer, and more transparent.
Managing renovation quotes used to mean a mess of emails, PDFs, and phone notes. Today, we're rolling out a redesigned quote comparison view for all homeowners on NeedReno.
**What's new:**
**Side-by-side quote comparison** — View up to five quotes at a glance, with pricing, scope, and timeline broken down in a standardized format. No more digging through PDFs to find what's included.
**Scope coverage indicator** — Our system now checks each quote against your project requirements and flags if key items appear to be missing or not addressed. It won't catch everything, but it helps you ask the right questions.
**Contractor response time** — You can now see how quickly each contractor responded to your project request. In our data, contractors who respond within 4 hours have significantly higher customer satisfaction scores.
**One-click messaging** — Message any contractor directly from the comparison view without switching tabs.
**Why we built this**
Feedback from homeowners consistently pointed to the same pain point: comparing quotes was hard, and homeowners felt they were missing something when making the decision. We don't make the decision for you, but we wanted to give you better tools to make it yourself.
